YOUNGBLOOD
"Derek Sutton"
(1986) 108 minutes
Director: Peter Markle
Cast: Rob Lowe (Dean Youngblood), Patrick Swayze (Derek Sutton), Cindy Gibb (Jessie).
Dean Youngblood (Rob Lowe) is the Rookie from the country who signs for ice-hockey team, the Hamilton Mustangs.
He fights hard for acceptance from the other members of the team.
The Mustangs's star player, Sutton (Patrick), received a serious head injury when he is deliberately fouled by
Racki, a member of the Mustangs's arch rivals, Thunder Bay. Youngblood, disillusioned by how the team's manager
seems to be unaffected by the tragedy, leaves the city in disgust. Once back on the farm, his brother and father
teach him the hard way, how he has given up the chance of a lifetime. With his father's encouragement, he returns
to the team, and sees that justice is done.
