It is 1955, a time when it was difficult for a woman to start out on her own without a man to support her.
Jeanne Holman is trying to do just that. Her husband is missing in Korea, presumed dead, and she is struggling
to bring up her two little boys, Tom and Gunny. As the result of a car accident, Jeanne befriends a drifter,
Jack and his dog Betty Jane. To repay their kindness to him the family are granted Three Wishes. The story
takes you on a magical journey. You are not quite sure who Jack is, but "he is not of this world!". Patrick
suits the beard. Three Wishes has a lovely ending!
