TALL TALE - THE UNBELIEVABLE ADVENTURES OF PECOS BILL

"Pecos Bill"

(1994) 96 minutes

Director: Jeremiah Chechik

Cast: Patrick Swayze (Pecos Bill), Oliver Platt (Paul Bunyan), Roger Aaron Brown (John Henry), Nick Stahl (Daniel Hackett)

Patrick is Pecos Bill - "a ring-tailed roar". Daniel Hackett grew up with the legend of Pecos Bill. Daniel's father would tell him tales of heroic deeds and "daring-do" by Pecos and his buddies, Paul Bunyan and John Henry. Daniel knew it was all make-believe. Or was it?

Strange how the three heroes came to Daniel's rescue when his father's farm is threatened by the evil J P Stiles. His belief in the characters gives Daniel the strength to fight the wickedness of Stiles and rally the townsfolk to resist the Railroad destined for the Valley. "Donīt lose the dream, Daniel". A lovely family film, and the scenery is magnificent.
