Patrick has been called the Patriarch of the Brat Pack, and it stems from The Outsiders, the original "Brat Pack Movie".
Most of the principal cast went on to become Box Office Stars in later years.
Patrick is the eldest of the Curtis boys, three orphaned brothers, trying to make a living and keep their family together.
The youngest of the brothers, Ponyboy (C Thomas Howell), becomes involved in a local scandal and runs away with his friend,
Johnny (Ralph Macchio). They hide out from the authorities, frightened to face the questions being asked at home.
